Back at Latin Street — THIS SUNDAY!
After a brief hiatus during the month of February, we’re back at Latin Street in the West Loop for Sundays the rest of March. We’ve got the coveted 11am time slot. As per usual, $10 per class. Another $5 if you’re renting boots (first rental is free).

Tonight’s Meetup: Canceled
So sad, I know. Sorry to say, but it’s true: too many conflicts and we just didn’t have enough folks to meet up tonight. We’re still on for Sunday at 11am @ Latin Street and next Tuesday at 6pm @ Visceral. In the meantime, keep kangoo-ing & stay active!

Chikangoo in 2012!
Believe it or not, our next meetup is going to be #10! I just want to say thank you to everyone for your positive energy, participation, and attendance. We have such a great group of people. It’s not only awesome, it’s inspiring. So thank you!
Our next meetup is on the books. Latin Street Dance, same time — 11am. All of the info is on the meetup page. If you’re not a member yet, sign up! There’s no obligation to join in every time we meet, but at least you’ll know what’s going on. And you can RSVP to meetups if you choose too, plus see a little bit about the other members. It’s a win-win situation.
Yesterday we kicked the year off with an amazing start! With a dozen people, we could not have fit more bodies into that steamy little room! Haha. Next week we will be in a better space with some ventilation, so don’t worry! A big big thank you to Latin Street Dance for letting us join them on Sundays. If yesterday sets the tone for the year, it’s going to be a spectacular year. A huge thank you to Marcus for leading such an awesome class. I’m a huge fan of the kick circle and chorus line so it was a 10 in my book! Hope to see you next Sunday!
First Meetup of 2012
Happy New Year!
The holidays are over and we’re back in action! 2012 will be the year of Chikangoo. 
Our first meetup of the year is this Sunday at Latin Street Dancing in the West Loop. It’s where we jumped when Mario was in town. A very cool spot! Can’t wait to see you all there! If you need a pair of boots to rent, email info@chikangoo.com

Mario + Chikangoo = UBER-AWESOME!!!
WOW — WHAT A WEEKEND! Mario Godiva Green was in town and several of us did the preliminary training to get licenses to officially teach Kangoo, in Kangoo Power and Kangoo Bootcamp. Exciting! So there was A LOT of Kangoo happening. This morning there was a special Master class taught by Mario … here’s a pic!
Big thanks to Latin Street Dancing for accommodating us last minute — as you can see, we had a BLAST! And a GIANT THANKS to Mario, who is super-supportive of Chikangoo and really helping us out in so many ways!!!
And don’t forget: We’re meeting this Tuesday at 8pm @ Visceral Dance Center. $10.

Corey’s Challenge for Thanksgiving Week!
Hopefully you’ve completed Marcus’ Pre-Thanksgiving Day Challenge and you’re feeling grrrreat. It’s no time to sit back and relax! Marcus is in Seattle getting trained by Mario so we all have to pull our weight back here in Chi. This week is Thanksgiving so I’d like to propose a second challenge; a mere modification of Marcus’ challenge from this past week! Staying active is going to be hard. The weather is getting colder and the urge to become a coach potatoe looms dangerously close. Don’t give in!
Challenge game plan:
Monday 11/21- Kangoo Run, 3 miles
Tuesday 11/22- Kangoo Workout, 1 hour
Wednesday 11/23- Kangoo Workout, 45 minutes
Thursday 11/24- Kangoo Run, 3 miles or other Cardio, 45min (Yes, I know it’s Thanksgiving. Get up early and work it out! You’ll have more energy — and this way you can indulge with less guilt!)
Friday 11/25- Yoga, 1 hour
Saturday 11/26- Kangoo Workout or Other Workout
Sunday 11/27- Be thankful you worked out all week and didn’t put on any pumpkin pie poundage!
